Tips For Speeding Up Your PC

It is well-known that Windows-operated PCs tend to slow down after a while, until even the slightest task becomes a never ending process. This is what you can do to delay or even to avoid this process:

  1. Run a defragmentation of the hard disk every week, even though your computer might announce you that this isn’t necessary. You don’t have to follow computer courses in order to be able to do that. The program is included with the operating system and you’ll be able to find it in System Tools. If you want, you can also try this registry scan program which will show you if there are any registry errors. Showing is free, for fixing you’ll have to buy the software.
  2. Don’t keep items on your desktop. Put everything in other folders, then drag some shortcuts on your desktop if this is easier for you to find your things
  3. Keep your antivirus program up to date. Some anti virus programs announce you every time they need to update their virus definitions. Always choose yes, let them update, otherwise your computer is at risk of getting infected
  4. Always check how much free space you have on the disk where your operating system is installed. Good operation requires some free space, and if it isn’t enough, you’d get in trouble because some programs won’t start at all, while others would run very very slow.
  5. Don’t install programs which you don’t know what they do or who made them. You might get infected with adware and spyware and this is very hard to get rid of. The effect is slowing down the computer.

If you follow these tips, you’ll enjoy your computer’s speed for a long time and you’ll save some money for some nice hot kicks shoes or anything else.

Cheap Computer Fix Software

Is your computer slow like a snail? Are you waiting long minutes for each task to be performed, even in the case of a simple copy-paste operation?

If such things happen, then most probably your computer got infected with some kind of spyware, malware or virus which makes it function abnormally. However, you can still find a solution to make your computer like new again: there is software which cleans up the computer by either fixing, deleting or putting in quarantine the infected files.

Not all these programs are free, but some of them are really cheap and they can get you out of trouble. Like this suite, Fix-It Utilities 8, which is less than $50 and it comes with lots of benefits, such as

  • 3-User License
  • One-Step Maintenance
  • Anti-Virus Protection
  • Spyware Removal
  • Optimize System Performance

So, you’ll have three computers guarded and secured, and the fact that you’ll be able to optimize the system performance will allow you to work faster, thus getting more productive and saving more time to spend it with your friends or family.
Fix-It Utilities 8 has a trial version which is free, so you may not even need to pay the $50, if this trial version would help you fix your current issues.
However, if you tried it and you are pleased with the results, why not getting permanent protection for your computer?
Your time is worth more than $49.95, don’t you think so?

Adware and Spyware Blockers

Adware and spyware blockers do exist, but most of them are not free of charge. Actually I don’t know any efficient spyware blocker to be given for free. One of the most affordable ones is Spyzooka, which comes with a free scanning trial option. However, after it detects infections, remaval is possible only by buying the license.

Such programs come built in the anti-virus software solutions, such as Trend Micro PC Cillin, or Bit Defender, Karsperky or MacAffee. Older versions of antivirus software didn’t have this option of blocking spyware and adware, but now almost all of them do.

Beware though, because at some of them, the spyware blocker function is not activated by default. You’ll need to go through the settings of the program and enable the filters which will keep your computer clean from malware.

What you need to know is that if you block or remove the adware which came with some free software you use, that software won’t work anymore. You need to balance the advantages and the damages the adware causes you, and take the decision either to remove it or to let it stay and close a few popups each time you use the useful software you downloaded for free.

Spyware No Adware

Spyware is on the increase over the past couple of years. It is a menace for all our computers, slowing them down and driving us crazy.

But what is spyware? This term defines those computer programs which we are not aware of, which sneak in our computers with the occasion of other installs, or web browsing. Once installed, spyware collects data and sends it to the initiator of the attack.

The effects of spyware on a computer can vary from nothing significant or noticeable, to popup windows, alert messages, slowing down, or even malfunctioning.

For instance, I’ve got once a spyware program which took control over my PC, and which was shutting it down every 5 minutes. You can imagine I was going nuts, because I was not able to work anymore.

Getting rid of spyware can be a real challenge and it often requires deep computer knowledge, like modifying the registries or other operating system files.
