I give it only a 4 star because the one thing that is missing is some kind of strap at the top so it won’t fall out when one is using the ipad.

After reading the other reviews I thought I would give this a chance, since it was inexpensive. That turned out to be a big mistake. I was expecting something that was not excellent quality, but fair. When I opened the package I was immediately assulted with the most horrible chemical smell I have ever had the displeasure of smelling in all my years of buying tech products. I should have listened to the other reviewers, this thing literally wreaks of chemicals. Also, it is not white, it is “off-white” and there were dirt marks on it from friction.
On the positive side the package arrived promptly and without a problem. Due to the inexpensive price I probably won’t choose to return this, but rather just toss it in the trash.

I love my new iPad. It is sleek and stylish. This cover is not. It is not white but a dull ivory color. It looks like cheap vinyl rather than leather. The iPad does not fit securely, as it does with the Apple cover. I am disappointed because I thought white would be most appropriate for the iPad.

This is an awful-smelling, poorly-made iPad case. Trust me, you won’t see the point of using it to protect your cool new iPad… unless you want to protect it from anyone in your immediate vicinity, due to the (toxic?) outgassing of noxious vapors. This thing is so bad that I actually took the time to write this product review, and I don’t think I’ve EVER done that before.
