This sleeve is not squishy protective neoprene. It is thin. The inside is a soft faux suede, the zipper is smooth. It’s just not quite what I wanted to carry iPad around in. I have a silicone shell wrap on my iPad, and find this sleeve very hard to zip closed around it, even though the silicone adds minimal size to the iPad. Basically right now I am using this sleeve as a pink envelope for iPad until I find the right case.

I love the cute design of this casem but i was really disappointed with how thin it is! This is not at all like the neoprene cases I am used to which provide thick, squishy cushioning for your device. The neoprene is VERY thin–thinner than the armband that holds my iPod when i work out–and i can’t imagine that it would provide any cushioning in the event of a fall. I also would not trust this case in a large bag full of textbooks. I am keeping the case because I need something to protect my screen from scratches in my shoulder bag, but I will not be putting my iPad into a larger tote bag with this cover. If you’re planning on using your iPad for school, as i am, don’t get this case. Go for something sturdier.
