This is not at all like the neoprene cases I am used to which provide thick, squishy cushioning for your device. The neoprene is VERY thin--thinner than the armband that holds my iPod when i work out--and i can't imagine that it would provide any cushioning in the event of a fall. I also would not trust this case in a large bag full of textbooks. I am keeping the case because I need something to protect my screen from scratches in my shoulder bag, but I will not be putting my iPad into a larger tote bag with this cover. If you're planning on using your iPad for school, as i am, don't get this case. Go for something sturdier. It is thin. The inside is a soft faux suede, the zipper is smooth. It's just not quite what I wanted to carry iPad around in. I have a silicone shell wrap on my iPad, and find this sleeve very hard to zip closed around it, even though the silicone adds minimal size to the iPad. This skin case is just slightly smaller than the iPad itself. When the iPad is in the case the lip of the case that covers the black bezel of the iPad lifts up and flops about. You can pull the case over to one side, causing that side to become flush while the other side lifts up even further. <br /> <br />The case is also missing a hole along the top for the light sensor. I hit keys by mistake because they are so small, but its a wow factor to show a flexable keyboard, and i tech a class who have never seen anything like it. i am thinking about deconstructing it to show how its made. for me, other then that it serves no function.
